Farm Workday Photos 2/23/13

We brought in a truckload of top soil and
finished compost to amend the soil.
The porch was heaped with perfectly aged
dry manure to add to the soil mixture.

Tessa was eager to climb aboard the heap
of manure and launch a few patties at folks.
Warm bags full of pine needles could have
made a good napping spot in the sun.

The crew sitting around the well
(which has 70 ft. of water).

Beefing up our rows with manure in an effort
to support no-till farming methods.
Posing amid our progress. 7, 150 ft. rows.
These also received a thick layer of straw.

The porch slab revealed.
The farmstead looking much cleaner.
